Gun Owners of America opposes the Hatch-Kohl amendment to require “lock-up your safety” devices to be sold with handguns.

This is another step in the wrong direction. If this amendment is enacted, we will hear in future years about the trigger lock “loophole” that exists because, while these locks are required to be sold, they are not required to be placed upon handguns.

Ultimately, “lock-up your safety” devices will cost lives as homeowners who need a gun in an emergency may not be able to defend themselves.

Please oppose any and all restrictions upon the 2nd Amendment.
