Take Action and Help Pass Constitutional Carry!

Dear Friend:

Unless you pick up the phone right now and redouble our efforts, Constitutional Carry could be dead in just a few weeks.

Please call your state legislator immediately and urge him or her to co-sponsor HB 156, the Georgia Constitutional Carry Act of 2017.

And I also need you to call the nine legislators I am listing below.

We can’t let them run out the clock and kill Constitutional Carry in 2017.

March 3rd is “Crossover Day” in the Georgia General Assembly.  Any bills still in committee, or bills that have not been passed and sent to the other chamber, are dead.

Right now HB 156, the Georgia Constitutional Carry Act of 2017, is stuck in the Public Safety & Homeland Security Committee.

Unless it gets out of that committee and is passed by the House by the March 3rd, Constitutional Carry is dead for the year.

Please call the following members of the House Public Safety & Homeland Security Committee and urge them to publicly support and hold an up or down vote on HB 156!

Below is a list of the legislators sitting on this bill.

Chairman Alan Powell (HD 32) – 404.463.3793
Eddie Lumsden (HD 12) – 404.656.0325
J. Collins (HD-68) – 404.656.0109
Gerald Green (HD 151) – 404.656.5105
Bill Hitchens (HD 161) – 404.656.0152
Rick Jasperse (HD 11) – 404.656.7857
Jesse Petrea (HD 166) – 404.657.1803
Darlene Taylor (HD 173) – 404.656.0109
Bill Wirkheiser (HD1 157) – 404.656.0254

Don’t let them run out the clock.

That’s not right.

Call them immediately. Ask them for an up or down vote on Constitutional Carry in committee.

Help make Georgia a Constitutional Carry state!

So, please contact your state legislator and call one or more of the nine listed above. Politely tell them:

1) You are a member of Gun Owners of America.
2) You represent thousands of voting gun owners in their district.
3) You want them to schedule an up or down vote in committee on HB 156.
4) You will be watching to see what they do.

It only takes a few minutes. Please contact your state legislator — and call one or more of the legislators listed above — right now.

In Liberty,

Erich Pratt
Executive Director

P.S. Please urge your state legislator to do everything possible to get a recorded vote on Constitutional Carry (HB 156).
