Dear Friend:

Last week, GOA alerted you to two bad bills that are moving in Concord.

But now, I have some good news for you. There is a great bill in the House — drafted with the assistance of GOA’s legislative counsel.

This bill, House Bill 1749, would expand preemption to block efforts by anti-gun localities to create safety-free zones which turn Granite Staters and their families into “sitting ducks.”

Increasingly, Leftist college administrators — and anti-gun politicians responsible for large venues in cities and towns — have made their hatred of the Second Amendment manifest by banning guns in many of the locations where mass shootings are most likely to occur.

Make no mistake about it:  The fact that Virginia Tech, or Sandy Hook School, or Columbine, or the Aurora movie theater, or the Mandalay Bay Hotel in Nevada were gun-free zones posed no deterrence to the evil men intent on creating havoc there.

House Bill 1749 would allow you to protect your family in those places in New Hampshire where protection is most likely to be needed.

The hearing for House Bill 1749 is scheduled for Wednesday, January 10, 2018 (at 10 am) in Representatives Hall.  The address is 107 North Main Street in Concord.

Please show up and demonstrate that New Hampshire’s pro-gun activists still care about gun-related legislation in the Granite State.

Even if you don’t want to speak, make your presence known and sign a blue form indicating your support for this bill.

Thank you.

In Liberty,

Erich Pratt
