Stop Anti-gun Officials from Banning Concealed Carry
As you know, law enforcement officials in some of the state’s more anti-gun towns have been (illegally, in our opinion) been using subjective, illegal standards to deny conceal carry licenses to Granite Staters who are legally and constitutionally entitled to carry firearms.
For this reason, we have pushed for legislation to add New Hampshire to the list of ten constitutional carry states. Unfortunately, that bill was vetoed by anti-gun Governor Maggie Hassan, who will (hopefully) soon be unemployed.
Until we can get a decent governor, however, the state Senate has come up with an interim measure which would take away the discretion to issue concealed carry licenses to Granite Staters who are not otherwise prohibited from possessing firearms under state or federal law.
That bill is Senate Bill 336. It has already been approved by the state Senate, and will come before the House Criminal Justice and Public Safety Committee for a hearing at 10:00 am next Tuesday, April 19.
Senate Bill 336 will require the issuance of a Pistol/Revolver License (which allows concealed carry) to anyone who applies — and who is not otherwise prohibited by state or federal statute from possessing a firearm.
We are urging every pro-gunner in the state who can make it to show up at Room 204 of the Legislative Office Building in Concord to testify in favor of this legislation.
So if you are able, please come to Room 204 of the LOB at 10:00 am on Tuesday, April 19, 2016, to testify in favor of Senate Bill 336.
Even if you don’t want to testify, just having your presence there in support of SB 336 will make a tremendous difference! So please consider just showing up signing your name on the list in support of the bill.
Thank you for your support of the Second Amendment!
