Red Flag Bill Raised from the Dead in Baton Rouge!

Gun Owners Need to Kill Red Flags… Again

Pro-Gun Bills Considered Soon

Josh Barnhill, a GOA life member, has composed another message to his fellow members in Louisiana. Please see below and take action:

It’s back! The gGun confiscation “red flag” bill HB 483, which would allow police to seize your firearms with no due process whatsoever, has returned to the schedule for a committee vote.

The first time around, liberty-loving Louisianans came together in force to voice their opposition to this Orwellian abomination.  It is time to do it again!

The hearing on this legislation will be held in the House Committee on Administration of Criminal Justice on Tuesday, May 21, at 9:00 am, in Committee Room 6.

Please contact the members of the House Administration of Criminal Justice Committee and ask them to OPPOSE HB 483.

And if you can, turn out and let your opposition to this bill, and all anti-gun legislation, be known!

Additionally, pro-gun house bills HB 235 and HB 281 are currently scheduled for debate on the floor of the Louisiana House of Representatives next week.

House Bill 235 would expand Louisiana’s self-defense protections to citizens exercising their right to self-defense in “a place of worship.”

House Bill 281 would remove the jurisdiction ofprohibit political subdivisions to prohibitfrom outlawing the possession of firearms in a wide variety of commercial establishments and public buildings.

Please contact your Louisiana State Representative and urge them to SUPPORT HB 235 and HB 281.

Again, if you can attend the hearing on May 21, please make plans to do so.  You can view directions to the state capitol here.

And don’t forget to urge the House Administration of Criminal Justice Committee members (above) and your state representative (below) to support the Second Amendment.

GOA thanks Josh for his help in composing another this alert.
