Rep-Elect Boebert and Pro-gun Members of Congress Fight Back Against Gun-Free Zones

Earlier this month21 radically anti-Second Amendment Democrats sent a letter to Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi and Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy. They want to turn Congress into a gun-free zone even for Representatives.

In response, Congresswoman-elect Lauren Boebert and 83 pro-gun members of the 116th and 117th Congress sent their own letter to Speaker Pelosi and Leader McCarthy in support of their right of self-defense.

GOA’s Senior Vice President, Erich Pratt, released this statement concerning the issue: “Millions of Americans go to work every day while carrying firearms for self-defense. So why shouldn’t members of Congress or their staff be able to do the same? Criminals won’t follow the laws, and they will always manage to get their hands on weapons, regardless of the restrictions in place.”
