A bill that takes a huge step toward Constitutional Carry has been introduced in the Utah State Legislature. The author of SB 97 is Senator David Hinkins.
SB 97 specifies that a person who may otherwise legally carry a concealed handgun is not required to obtain or possess a license or permit from the state to carry a handgun in Utah.
In other words, with virtually few exceptions, you would be able to carry a concealed gun anywhere in the state without registering yourself with the government or paying a permission fee.
After all, if you have to ask for permission, pay a tax and register yourself with the government, it’s not a right.
Constitutional Carry fixes that.
